Jorvik Viking Center.

It´s a museum and it´s one of the most popular turist attractions outside London in the city of York where Jorvick Viking Center is.

In 793  AD, the vikings travelled across the North Sea from Scandinavia and came to Britain. On of the towns on the north of England was Jorvik. When the ancient city of Coppergate was investigated  to know more about the past. The arqueologists found objects underground and they learned how the people of Jorvik lived, ate, and what they did in their free time.

The Jorvik Viking Center opened in 1984. Visitors are transported back in time on audio-visual scenes .They can find out what Vikings looked like,see their houses,shops and hear them speak in Old Norse. You can also look at more than 800 exhibits of Viking Objects.

-Se usa TOO antes de un adjetivo.

Ej: Is the story too complicated?

¿Es la historia muy complicada?

-Se usa TOO MUCH antes de un nombre  incontable.

Ej: Don’t spend too much money on actors.

No gastes demasiado dinero en actores.

-Se usa TOO MANY antes de un nombre contable.

Ej: There were too many scenes with no action.

Había demasiadas escenas sin acción.

-Se usa ENOUGH después de un adjetivo.

Ej: The film alone isn’t profitable enough.

La película por sí sola no es lo suficiente rentable.

-Se usa ENOUGH antes de un nombre.

Ej: You won’t have enough money for especial effects.

No tendrás suficiente dinero para efectos especiales.


Ever, Never, Just

Estas preposiciones de tiempo siempre se usan con Present Perfect.

Ever. En frases interrogativas. Have you ever been to London?

Has estado alguna vez en Londres?

Never. En frases negativas. I´ve never had a bike.

Nunca he tenido una bici.

Melissa has just bought a coke. Melissa acaba de comprar una coca-cola.

Offers and Suggestions

TO+ INFINITIVE : Se usa para expresar ofrecimientos.

She offered to help Mary  with her project.

THAT + SUBJECT + INFINITIVE :Se usa para  dar sugerencias.

Peter suggested that Clarie wait outside.

Aready,Yet,Still.

Estas preposiciones de tiempo se usan con el tiempo verbal present perfect.

She has already phoned him. Ella ya  lo ha telefoneado.

We haven´t had lunch yet. No hemos comido aun.

Yet  y Still se usan también en oraciones negativas.

They still  haven´t  visited  Spain. Ellos todavía no han visitado España.
